Experiment 3: Galactic Eggs

This experiment's about the earths solids and liquids and how that affects earths spin.
Procedure

  • boil a egg and grab a raw one.
  • let the boiled egg sit for about 20 minuets
  • use a pen to mark them 1 & 2.
  • place both eggs on a flat surface and then spin

The raw egg wobbles and stops. the cooked egg keeps on going. The egg is like earth because when its raw it has liquid inside. the earth has layers with liquid and that affects the earths spin. The liquid does not start spinning with earth right away.It affects the earth slower.

Experiment 2: Earth's Axis

Today i learned how the earth spins on its axis.
First use modeling clay to make a ball the size of a marble. Next put a toothpick through  until you see the tip. Than see how it spins.
I learned that the earth does not spin strait it spun circular.  The top goes in a bigger circle.

#1 Science Experiment

My first Home school science class!
Mom cant read instructions so it did not work well.
This taught me that the Earth is not only round, it's flat at the poles. It is a shorter distance between the poles than across.(44 miles on Earth) this applies to planets such as Mars and Venus.  Tomorrow I will do the experiment Eclipse.
